My personal mission is to help young people feel good about themselves and to empower them to make positive changes in their lives. My approach as a therapist begins with creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where people can get comfortable with the therapeutic process. I specialize in helping people address concerns related to self-esteem, school, peer conflicts, family issues, self-harm, depression, and many other issues that can get in the way of us feeling the way we want to feel and living the way we want to live.I received my MSW from UConn in 2006 with a casework concentration and an additional certification in mental health and substance abuse in social work practice. I also am a trained parenting coach and hold a life coach certification. I have been a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) since 2004 and I am committed to the NASW Code of Ethics. |
